Demetrius Lee

Demetrius Lee was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio where he began his dance training at the age of 10 at  Cleveland Inner-City Ballet under the direction of Chandra Ford-White. Shortly after finding his passion for this craft, he studied at the Cleveland School of the Arts, then went on to the Tri- C Creative Arts Dance Academy as an extracurricular training program, while being a full-time high school student. During the duration of being in school and dancing outside of school he traveled all over the states and performed various works. He has also studied at various summer intensives on scholarship including San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and American Dance Festival and numerous more. Lee graduated from Cleveland School of the Arts, in the top 10 of his class in 2020. Shortly after Demetrius received the opportunity to be a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship Award for the dance division at Boston Conservatory at Berklee where he will be receiving his BFA in contemporary dance in spring of 2024. Furthermore, he has performed works by Christopher Huggins, Darrell Moultrie, Troy Powell, Kay Eichman, Deshona Pepper- Robinson, Crystal Perkins, Jennifer Archibald, Bill T. Jones and many more greats. Demetrius is so blessed to be able to hold such a gift that allows him to feel whole. Later he plans on teaching and sharing his craft with the upcoming generations.
